Prototypes
Read the SFD's white paper on prototype designs. Click here.
A prototype is an existing building design. State design contracts include provisions which allow these designs to be used by multiple school districts.

Using prototypes can save school districts considerable time during project design and offers the state considerable cost savings as well.

The SFD maintains a database of prototype plans in AiM that districts may review when considering this approach. To access the database:
  • Log into AiM with your existing username and password.
  • Look for the report listing box on the right side of your work desk.
  • Scan down the list and click on "Prototype Plan Report."
